Queensberry and Bywater Properties’ Kingsway Investments (Newport) Ltd (KIN) has announced 2 new names for The Kingsway Centre, Newport. Eurochange and The Fragrance Shop will soon be opening their doors at The Kingsway Centre.

The Kingsway Centre is anchored by Wilkinsons, B&M and Peacocks and is located immediately adjacent to Queensberry Real Estate’s Friars Walk shopping and leisure destination. Since KIN acquired the scheme in autumn 2014 they have let units to Sainsbury’s Local, The Post Office, Warren James, Pep and Co, Boswells Café and Pure Gym which has led to an increase in Footfall of 15%.

Eurochange have taken a 500 sq ft unit and opened on Friday 18th March. Eurochange, the foreign exchange experts, was established in 1975 and provide travel currency, international payments and remittance services to retail and business customers, in branch and online. The opening at the Kingsway Centre will be the company’s 126th branch in the UK.

The Fragrance Shop will take an 804 sq ft unit and is due to open on 2nd April at 10am. Established in 1995, The Fragrance Shop is the UK’s largest independent, fragrance retailer and they sell affordable mainstream and luxury fragrances.

To celebrate the opening of the new store on 2nd April 2016 at 10am, The Fragrance Shop will hand out two free gifts to every customer who shops in-store. Customers can pick up a free YSL L’Homme Shower Gel and a pack of Especially Escada Bath Salts.*

The opening of the new store looks to help charity too as for every transaction made at The Fragrance Shop, 5p is donated to children’s charity. To date over £500,000 has been raised by The Fragrance Shop for charitable causes all over the UK.

KIN is currently reviewing the tenant mix and are targeting high street multiple retailers, mass market fashion retailers and local service providers. Existing units are being reconfigured and improvements to marketing and commercialisation are underway following the opening of Friars Walk in November 2015. Other key priorities for KIN include physical improvements to the car park, public realm, branding and way-finding across the centre.
