OKA, The White Company, Bobbi Brown, Loaf, Cath Kidston and lululemon will all open at launch, joining the existing TM Lewin on the High Street. The Ivy Castle View, with an al-fresco dining terrace and spectacular view of Guildford Castle and the Surrey Hills, will soon follow in mid-spring. Nespresso will also open a ‘Boutique’ concept store, offering in-store coffee masterclasses and an interactive experience, in May.

Stuart Harris, Commercial Director and Co-Founder at Queensberry, said: “We’re excited to announce the opening date of Tunsgate Quarter and look forward to welcoming customers to the scheme in just under six weeks. The centre has brought both new shopping and dining opportunities, as well as over 350 new jobs to Guildford. Combined with the brands’ own store fit-outs, over £30 million has been invested into Tunsgate Quarter to create an attractive and appealing shopping and dining experience.”

At 70% pre-let, several other high quality lifestyle brands will be opening at Tunsgate Quarter over the following months. A programme of special events will take place throughout the spring and summer to celebrate the opening of these further shops and restaurants, providing a breadth of new experiences to visitors.

Ongoing interest and commitment from top brands and the quality of brands opening at launch is testament to Queensberry’s vision and strategy for Tunsgate Quarter. The Loaf store is its first outside London and will be its new flagship, whilst OKA will open its largest unit outside London. Other brands are moving to larger, flagships at the scheme with The White Company doubling the size of its store in Guildford to 5,000 sq ft and Bobbi Brown will open its first stand-alone shop in the town.

Charlie Marshall, founder of Loaf, said: “We’re really looking forward to opening our new flagship at Tunsgate Quarter. With a unique mix of premium lifestyle retailers, alongside a great food and beverage offer, it’s the perfect location for our first store outside London, and we hope the store provides something new to the people of Guildford.”

Tunsgate Quarter has been designed to complement the independent retailers adjacent to the scheme. Through better configured circulation routes, customers will move more easily around the area to the benefit of other local stores and cafes.

Lyons + Sleeman + Hoare is the architects for Tunsgate Quarter. The agents are Bruce Gillingham Pollard and Cushman & Wakefield. ISG PLC is the contractor for the scheme.
